Meet the creator
Dawnica Clark is a 30-year-old, born and raised in Houston, TX and graduate of Westbury High School. She attended some college in the medical field, but later went on to further her career with the United States Postal Service. Clark comes from a large family and has five siblings. Although they were middle-class, they never lacked anything, including love. On December 19, 2012, Clark became a mother to Ja’Don Franklin. Unfortunately, Ja’Don was only with us a short time and passed on December 23, 2012. Filled with feelings of guilt, fear, anger, embarrassment, and more; Clark began to doubt herself and experience severe mental health issues.
Five years later, she has taken her pain and created a purpose: iSpeak Grace. Clark shares her story of experiencing infant loss and is a voice for other “grace moms” of the world. Many will describe her as positive, bright, and smart. Her smile gives light to the soul of others. Clark’s goal is to not only expand iSpeak Grace and speak all over the world but create a foundation in honor of her son. She is and forever will be known as #Ja’DonsMom.
About iSpeak Grace
iSpeak Grace was created by Dawnica Clark, who tragically lost her son Ja’Don at only 5 days old (born December 19, 2012). After years of guilt, fear, embarrassment, depression, heartbreak, and many other painful feelings; Dawnica began to speak her truth by telling her story through social media in an effort to encourage and empower other “grace moms”. iSpeak Grace’s mission is to empower women who have suffered from infant loss, miscarriage, or still-births. We often ask “Why Me?”, which is an answer only God knows. We are hear to speak positivity and strength into your life and say, “Trust the process. We will smile again, no more faking it!”
